CW News Now - NE Tech Internship

Here's your chance to showcase your skills on the web and TV!

CW News Now is an exciting new web based video news piece featured on The CW Providence's website.

Produce, write, shoot and edit a daily one-minute feature that airs on The CW Providence's website.

Students must qualify for an internship through New England Tech.
Students will report to The CW Providence and work on-site in Providence.

Student is responsible, with supervision from The CW Providence, for:

Initiating ideas
Writing stories
Shooting content, interviews, b-roll & stand-ups
Editing on Final Cut Pro
Assisting with upload to the web

Students will be responsible for 1-2 finished 1:00 features per week.

New England Tech will approve all students first for an internship before they are approved by The CW Providence.

We are advancing in the world of Broadcasting and we want YOU to join our team!
WLWC Providence invites students to apply for internship positions in our Creative Services Department.  
This is a non-paid internship position.
If you are currently a Junior or Senior in college and are looking for an internship in television for college credit, this is your chance!

Qualified students will obtain experience in station promotions and commercial production - writing and spot conception skills, along with 
non-linear editing experience.

Some duties include:
•    Creating ideas and writing scripts for promos and commercials
•    Assisting on commercial productions
•    Developing station marketing campaigns
•    Organizing station promotions and contests
•    Assisting in non-linear editing
•    General office tasks

Internship Offered: Fall 2017 
If contacted you will also be required to submit 2 writing samples (graded class assignments or published work), and a non-returnable sample reel.

Internship time at the stations must be coordinated with respective colleges and universities for credit level course work under the sponsorship of educational faculty. In order to be considered you must be a college junior or senior.
