- The Providence Bruins won their final pre-season game 3-1 over the Worcester Sharks Saturday afternoon at the Dunkin' Donuts Center.  The P-Bruins got goals from Wayne Simpson, Zach Trotman, and Mike Moore, while Malcom Subban stopped 25 of 26 shots.

In the first period, the P-Bruins got off to a slow start with Subban having to come up with some big saves. Konrad Abeltshauser put the Sharks on the scoreboard first at the 4:51 mark of the opening period.  He scored off a pass from teammate Luke Judson.  Although the P-Bruins had some excellent scoring opportunities during the remainder of the period, they failed to capitalize and the Sharks took a 1-0 lead into the first intermission.

The P-Bruins tied the game at one at the 10:54 mark of the second period. Defensemen David Warsofsky made a pass across the ice to Simpson, who was able to put the puck past a sprawling J.P. Anderson.  Both the P-Bruins and Sharks continued to put shots on net, but none went in until the 17:14 mark.  The P-Bruins capitalized on a power play opportunity as Anthony Camara fed Trotman, who shot the puck into the back of the net.  The P-Bruins led 2-1 going into the second intermission.

Providence continued its strong play in the third period.  Subban came up big stopping all eight shots he faced and the P-Bruins were able to put the game away when Moore scored an empty net goal at the 19:55 mark. The Providence Bruins went onto the 3-1 victory.

The P-Bruins were 1-for-4 on the power play and 1-for-1 on the penalty kill.
