The Red Sox are headed back to the American League Championship Series!
Boston eliminates the Rays Tuesday night in the American League Division Series with a 3-1 victory as the Red Sox win the series three games to one.
Down 1-0 in the 7th, the Red Sox rallied for two runs to take the lead. Xander Bogaerts, who started the rally with a one-out walk, tied the score coming home on a wild pitch. Then, Shane Victorino brought Jacoby Ellsbury home with the lead on an infield hit.
Dustin Pedroia gave Boston an insurance run on a bases loaded sacrifice fly.
Koji Uehara got the last four outs for the save following Craig Breslow and Junichi Tazawa from the bullpen.
The Red Sox will host the winner of Thursday's ALDS game 5 between the Tigers and A's in Saturday's game 1 of the ALCS. It'll be Boston's first trip to the ALCS since 2008.
