RIPTA to Detour Four Routes to Accommodate Monster Ball Halloween Party on Thursday, October 31, 2013
DETOUR IN EFFECT FROM 7:00PM THROUGH LAST TRIP OF THE DAY
Providence, Rhode Island, October 16, 2013 - The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) will detour Route 11 (Broad Street), Route 20 (Elmwood Ave.), Route 21 (Reservoir/Garden City), and Route 22 (Pontiac Ave.) on Thursday, October 31, 2013 in order to accommodate the Monster Ball Halloween Party. The detour will be in effect from 7:00pm through the last trip of the day on October 31, 2013. Empire Street will be closed during this time.
All four routes will detour as follows:
Route 11 (Broad Street), Route 20 (Elmwood Ave.), Route 21 (Reservoir/Garden City), and Route 22 (Pontiac Ave.):
Inbound: Trips into downtown Providence will travel the regular route.
Outbound: Trips leaving downtown Providence will travel regular route to the intersection of Washington and Empire Streets, continue on Washington Street, take a left onto Service Road, right onto Broad Street, and then resume regular route.
RIPTA, the State's Mobility Manager, operates over 3,000 daily bus trips on over 50 bus routes throughout the state. Last year, we provided 20 million rides.
