City of Providence Accepting Nominations for Eleventh Annual MLK Hall of Fame Awards
Nominations will be accepted until Wednesday, January 29, 2014
PROVIDENCE, RI – Mayor Angel Taveras is pleased to announce that the City of Providence is accepting nominations for its eleventh annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
Letters of nomination will be accepted until Wednesday, January 29, 2014. Nominations are welcome to local individuals who have made meaningful contributions to acceptance, social justice, civil rights and equality in the City of Providence or as a resident of the community.
Nominees must be a resident of Providence or have accomplished a significant amount of community work in Providence.
Letters of nomination should be less than two pages long, and specify how the nominee exemplifies the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s commitment to acceptance, social justice, civil rights and equality.
