Owens throws 6-inning no-hitter

Highly touted prospect Henry Owens showed good right out of the gate Thursday night.  Owens threw a 6-inning no-hitter for Portland, the Red Sox Double-A affiliate, in the team's season opener.  The game was called after 6 innings due to rain, giving the Sea Dogs the 5-0 win over Reading.

Owens, who struck out nine, game up two first inning walks, but was perfect the rest of the way.

The 22-year old lefthander is ranked as the number one pitching prospect (#2 overall) in the Red Sox organization.
