Red Sox sign Drew

The Red Sox have signed infielder Stephen Drew to a one-year deal, the team announced today.

Drew, who turned down a $14 million qualifying offer during the offseason, will make $10 million for the 2014 season.  Drew, who hit .253 with 13HR's last season during the Red Sox World Series Championship season, will undergo a physical on Wednesday before starting a rehab assignment to get into baseball shape.

Boston will need his offense as Will Middlebrooks, now out with a broken finger and Xander Bogaerts have both struggled offensively this season.
