Patriots clear Gronkowski to play

Posted: Updated:

The Patriots have cleared TE Rob Gronkowski to play Wednesday morning, one day before the start of training camp in Foxboro.

Head coach Bill Belichick made the announcement Wednesday morning, just seven-plus months after Gronkowski tore his ACL in a December 8th game against Cleveland.  Belichick, as well as his teammates, were quick to praise Gronkowski's work ethic for him being back on the field to start camp.

Needless to say, today's news is music to QB Tom Brady's ears!
