PVD Lady Project hosts mentor event

THIRD ANNUAL “BYOM – BRING YOUR OWN MENTOR / MENTEE” HOSTED BY PVD LADY PROJECT September 25 at Circe in downtown Providence

Providence, RI
– PVD Lady Project hosts its Third Annual BYOM (Bring Your Own Mentor / Mentee) event on Thursday, September 25 from 5:30-7:30 p.m., at Circe Restaurant & Bar, 50 Weybosset Street, Providence. “Our BYOM event speaks to the importance and value of mentorship for women across all stages and phases of their careers and personal lives,” says Lady Project CEO and co-founder Sierra Barter. Designed as a fun-filled evening of advice-sharing, connection-making and goodie bag-taking, this event is sponsored by The Providence Journal, and is open to females or female-identifying. Attendees will enjoy appetizers and a cash bar with a Lady Project inspired cocktail handcrafted by Circe for this occasion. A highlight will be the signature 3x3, featuring three women sharing their story in three minutes. The BYOM version incorporates more of a “hot seat” component, with names being drawn the night of the event. Speakers will talk about their mentors/mentees and the role mentorship plays in their lives.

Tickets may be purchased online at https://pvdladyproject925.eventbrite.com/ for $12. The $17 ticket option includes a $5 donation to The Groden Network “Your Autism Experts,” a local nonprofit that specializes in helping the lives of children and adults with autism and related developmental disabilities. At the door, tickets are $15, with $20 option that includes the $5 donation. MEDIA: Interview local women, female entrepreneurs and business owners on the value of mentorship. Can women succeed without a mentor? Are women paying it forward? What role does mentorship play in their career and their personal lives? Contact piya@pvdladyproject.com for your complimentary press code to cover this event in-person (one per media entity).
