Cranston Public Library hosts Holocaust event

Cranston Public Library and the Holocaust Education and Resource Center of Rhode Island Team Up for November 2 Event

On Sunday, November 2, at 2:00 pm, Cranston Public Library and the Holocaust Education and Resource Center of Rhode Island will present a free lecture by Helen Kagan, entitled "Berlin: 70 Years After the Holocaust."

This lecture, an installment of the Victor Baxt Lecture Series, will discuss the ways in which the city of Berlin was affected by the events of World War II, and the impact of those events on the city's identity today.

Kagan is an officer for Harvard Lifelong Learning Seminars, as well as an active member of the National History Honor Society. Kagan graduated from the University of Rhode Island and Rhode Island College, and has taught in the Providence Public School system, as well as at the Community College of Rhode Island.
