Beanstalk Adventures opens at Jordan's Furniture

Jordan's Furniture launches its newest store attraction!

A 32-feet high aerial adventure ropes course to open this Friday inside the Reading store

Reading, MA
– Eliot Tatelman, Jordan's Furniture President and CEO, has always believed in combining entertainment with retail, hence the 500-seat IMAX 3D Theater, Liquid Fireworks Show, ice cream shoppe, and full-service restaurant inside his Reading store.

And he is not stopping there! This Friday December 12th, the Beanstalk Adventures Rope Course opens within the Beantown area of the chain's Reading location. The attraction is a high ropes course, which consists of horizontally strung cables, ropes, boards and other materials secured between steel supports to create elements and activities. All ages can experience the course. Participants are able to choose their path through the course while going at their own pace with the ability to pass other participants at each platform.

“Beanstalk is taking indoor entertainment to another level. Literally!” says Tatelman. “The ropes course is good for all ages, too. It's an activity that people can do alone, as a couple, as a family, or as a group. I can't wait to see our customers' faces when they walk in our store and see Beanstalk. It's a “wow!”.

The course stands 32-feet high with 2 levels consisting of 30 elements including a 69-feet long zip line that gives participants a self-guided zip tour without unhooking at any time.

And there is a specially-designed adventures ropes course for kids, too! Beansprout is a scaled down version of the full-size course, designed specifically for children ages 2-7, or less than 48-inches tall. The open course design allows for easy parent participation for any level of assistance needed. Parents can walk alongside their child or simply step back to watch.

“People discover their love for adventure on the ropes course”, said Course Manager Nik Gagnon. “It's especially fun to see their progression from being scared to excited and watch them pass their fellow comrades on the course. Beginners can try something a bit out of their comfort zone or thrill seekers a new adventure.”

To celebrate the Grand Opening to the public this Friday December 12th, the first 20 people each day of opening weekend (December 12th, 13th, and 14th) will get to try the ropes course for free. Beanstalk and Beansprout will be open during Jordan's normal operating hours, Mon.-Thurs. 10am-9pm, Fri.-Sat. 10am-10pm and Sun. 11am-7pm. Pricing is Beanstalk Adventure Ropes Course and Zip Line - $12.00, Beanstalk Adventure Ropes Course - $10.00, and Beansprout Adventure Ropes Course - $6.00.
