ALL OF RHODE ISLAND. THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES AND TOWNS OF
FRAMINGHAM...LOWELL...LAWRENCE...FOXBORO...NORWOOD...CAMBRIDGE
...BOSTON...QUINCY...TAUNTON...BROCKTON...PLYMOUTH...FALL
RIVER... NEW BEDFORD...MATTAPOISETT...FOSTER...SMITHFIELD...
PROVIDENCE... WEST GREENWICH...WARWICK...BRISTOL...
NARRAGANSETT...WESTERLY... NEWPORT AND BLOCK ISLAND.

* HAZARD TYPES...HEAVY SNOW...STRONG WINDS AND BLIZZARD
CONDITIONS. CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW. STRONG WINDS.

* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATIONS 15 TO 25 INCHES...WITH
LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS AROUND 30 INCHES. SNOWFALL RATES OF 1 TO
2 INCHES PER HOUR WILL CONTINUE AT TIMES THROUGH THE AFTERNOON.

* TIMING...THE WORST OF THE STORM WILL BE THROUGH THIS
AFTERNOON...THEN GRADUAL IMPROVING CONDITIONS TONIGHT.

* IMPACTS...HEAVY SNOW AND STRONG WINDS WILL RESULT IN WHITE-
OUT/BLIZZARD CONDITIONS WITH NEAR ZERO VISIBILITY. TRAVEL WILL
BE IMPOSSIBLE AND LIFE THREATENING ACROSS THE ENTIRE REGION.
STRONG WINDS MAY RESULT IN DOWNED TREE LIMBS AND ISOLATED
POWER OUTAGES.

* WINDS...NORTH 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 60 MPH...LIKELY
STRONGER ALONG EASTERN SHORELINES. THE HEIGHT OF THE WINDS WILL
BE THROUGH MID AFTERNOON WITH GRADUALLY DIMINISHING WINDS THIS
EVENING.

* VISIBILITIES...ONE QUARTER MILE OR LESS AT TIMES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A BLIZZARD WARNING IS ISSUED WHEN SUSTAINED WINDS OR FREQUENT
GUSTS OVER 35 MPH ARE EXPECTED WITH CONSIDERABLE FALLING AND/OR
BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW. VISIBILITIES WILL BECOME POOR WITH
WHITEOUT CONDITIONS AT TIMES. THOSE VENTURING OUTDOORS MAY BECOME
LOST OR DISORIENTED...SO PERSONS IN THE WARNING AREA ARE ADVISED
TO STAY INDOORS.

ALL UNNECESSARY TRAVEL IS DISCOURAGED! THIS IS A SERIOUS LIFE-
THREATENING STORM!
