RI travel ban to be lifted at 8pm

Governor Raimondo announced Tuesday that the State's travel ban will be lifted at 8pm. #Blizzard 2015 #Juno has wound down and the clean up continues.

Most schools in Rhode Island have already canceled for Wednesday.  Click here for the full list of closings, powered by The Stork's Nest Child Academy.

On Monday before the storm, Raimondo also said residents should be prepared to be without power for several days as this is one of the worst storms to hit our State.  It's expected that 1-2+ feet of snow could impact the area along with high, gusting winds.

Raimondo added, "The State is ready."  Click here to see the declaration of the State of Emergency.

The State of Massachusetts also has a State of Emergency as well as a travel ban.  500 National Guard Troops have also been called up to help with the blizzard coverage.
