New Weekend, Bigger Celebration for 10th Annual Flames of Hope  

Local nonprofit announces date change for annual breast cancer awareness, education, and support event.

— March 23, 2015 (Pawtucket, RI)—The Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation is excited to announce it has changed the date of its annual Flames of Hope: A Celebration of Life breast cancer awareness event to the first weekend in October (October 3-4) to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

“Flames of Hope is taking place on a new weekend, and we're also planning an even bigger celebration than ever before,” said Maria Gemma, executive director of the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation. “There's no better time to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month than the very first weekend of October.”

Flames of Hope: A Celebration of Life™ is the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation's annual weekend event that promotes breast cancer awareness, provides breast health education, and honors people living with breast cancer. Now in its tenth year, the event has grown into one of the largest of its kind in the Northeast and will take place in downtown Providence.
