The NFL fined the NY Jets $100,000 Tuesday for tampering in the case of cornerback Darrelle Revis.
The league levied the fine after the Patriots filed tampering charges once Jets owner Woody Johnson said he would "love for Darrelle to come back" to the Jets while Revis was still under contract to the Patriots. Revis signed a five-year, $70 million deal to return to the Jets after the Patriots did not pick up his second-year contract option of $20 million for the 2015 NFL season.
The league did not find any guilt in the Jets tampering charges against the Patriots for owner Bob Kraft's comments after Revis signed with New York. Neither teams was penalized with any draft pick losses. Click here
