– Mayor Jorge Elorza Monday was joined by Recreation Director Michael Stephens, Parks Superintendent Wendy Nilsson, recreation center directors and staff from across the city, and Providence youth to announce the opening of registration for expanded Summer Recreation Programs offered by the City of Providence.

In addition to continuing all previous Summer Recreation programs, the 2015 line-up introduces all new programs including Referee Camp, Museum Camp, Cheerleading Camp, new age 5-7 divisions for soccer, basketball cheerleading and tennis camps and the addition of flag football, baseball, soccer and basketball camps for youth age 13-14.

I ask every resident to familiarize themselves with the programs offered by the Department of Recreation and then get out with your neighbors and make the most out of this summer.”
