Red Sox/Rangers Thursday May 28 lineups

The Red Sox look to avoid a four game losing streak Thursday night in Texas in the first of four against the Rangers.

Manager John Farrell also says that David Ortiz will sit the next few games out while working on his swing. Before the game, Boston put OF Daniel Nava on the 15-day disabled list (sprained thumb) while activating LHP Robbie Ross Jr.  In addition, OF Carlos Peguero was activated after his trade from Texas Wednesday while P Heath Hembree and IF Jeff Bianchi were sent to Pawtucket to make room for Peguero and Rodriguez.

Pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez makes his major league debut for the Red Sox as the team goes to a six-man rotation.
