Warwick North falls in World Series Final

Wednesday's Finals

Warwick North falls to North Carolina, 4-2 Wednesday night in the Little League Softball World Series Championship Game!  Salisbury, NC scored four runs in the first inning and never trailed.

Tuesday's semifinals: 

Warwick North is headed to the Little League Softball World Series Championship!  Warwick held on to beat Central Iowa Tuesday night, 5-4 in the semifinals and will now face the Texas/North Carolina winner Wednesday night in the finals out in Portland, Oregon. 

Down 2-1 in the 4th, Warwick rallied for four runs to take the lead. Emily Carter pitched six innings, surrendering just two runs for the victory. Olivia Murray and Dyonna Rodas had two hits a piece for Warwick. 

Iowa in turn rallied for two in the bottom of the sixth and had the tying and winning run on base before Carter struck out the final two batters for the win.
