Raimondo Directs U.S. and Rhode Island Flags Lowered

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - In accordance with a Presidential Proclamation, Governor Gina M. Raimondo has ordered the U.S. and Rhode Island flags to be flown at half-staff at all state facilities and buildings. The flags will remain at half-staff until sunset, November 19, 2015 in honor of the victims in the Paris, France attacks.

"On behalf of all Rhode Islanders, I send my deepest condolences to those impacted by Friday's tragic violence in Paris," said Raimondo. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the French people. We stand together."

Raimondo also asks Rhode Islanders to lower their flags as a mark of respect.
