More good news Friday for the Patriots as WR Julian Edelman returned to practice for the first time since he broke his foot against the Giants on November 15.
Edelman is still expected to miss at least another three weeks, but no timetable has been released for his return to active, game duty.
TE Rob Gronkowski issued a statement after he practiced for the second straight day (knee):
"I'm doing everything I can to get better every single day, and it feels good to be back with my teammates. Just mentally, physically to be back with them out on the practice field. And any other questions, you've just got to talk to coach Belichick. Thank you."
There's been no word if Gronkowski will miss his second straight game after injuring the knee November 29th in Denver.
The Patriots visit Houston on Sunday night, trying to break a two game losing streak.
