Who We Are - LaunchCode is a nonprofit organization closing the tech-talent gap through a focus on talent instead of credentials. We partner with over 500 companies nationwide.

How It Works - We support Rhode Island’s workforce by connecting talented, non-traditional candidates to companies who depend on tech talent for their businesses to grow and survive. Through paid apprenticeships, employers get access to a pipeline of new talent, while smart, aspiring tech workers get an on-ramp to great jobs — no degree required.

A big part of our mission is to provide free, world-class education to our communities. LaunchCode collaborates with local educators and workforce agencies to create innovative, accelerated education programs that help students and job seekers acquire the skills they need for a job in tech. Through programs like CS50x, we’ve trained hundreds of new members of the workforce.

LaunchCode Teaching Fellow
This fall, LaunchCode is offering a unique class that seeks to provide training for in-demand tech skills that prepare successful students for apprenticeships in computer programming and information technology. The LaunchCode Class accomplishes this by using world-class curriculum and expertise from the local community, with additional skill tracks that orient students towards a job in technology.

LaunchCode is a nonprofit organization that is working to solve the tech talent gap and pave new pathways to upward mobility for aspiring developers through apprenticeships and job placement in technology.
