Operation Homefront looking for help with Pedals for Medals

Operation Homefront seeks sponsors and stationary bike riders to raise funds to benefit military families through Pedals for Medals

Operation Homefront is giving residents in the Northeastern United States an opportunity to have fun, to stay physically fit, and to raise funds to benefit veterans, military families, and wounded warriors.  Through its Pedals for Medals campaign, Operation Homefront is signing up sponsors and participants who will ride a stationary bike for 30 minutes throughout July at their own fitness center, home gym or another location of their choice.  Sponsors and riders may register now online at https://endurancecui.active.com/event-reg/select-race?e=35570851.

Pedals for Medals will culminate with a July 30 final push to the fundraising finish line, during which stationary bike riders will pedal at designated fitness centers in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

There will be a bonus for all riders and sponsors.  A free-of-charge reception will be held at American Legion Post 114 in Milton, Massachusetts, that will feature refreshments, raffles, a silent auction, free drawings for veterans, and live music from the band Bad Reputation.  The post is located at 123 Granite Ave. in Milton.

Operation Homefront is a national nonprofit organization that helps the families of service members, veterans and wounded warriors by offering emergency and other financial assistance, caregiver support initiatives, back-to-school supplies, and programs that provide short-term transitional housing and mortgage-free homes.
