Port of Providence Sirens Warning System to Be Tested  

PROVIDENCE, RI – The Providence Fire Department, in cooperation with the Providence Emergency Management Agency (PEMA), and the Local Emergency Planning Committee-2, will test the Port of Providence Sirens Warning System beginning on Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at approximately 12:00PM, continuing for two weeks and ending on September 2, 2016.

Residents and the business community should be aware that the sirens will go off at approximately 12:00PM on the following days: 

•    Tuesday, August 23 
•    Wednesday, August 24 
•    Thursday, August 25
•    Friday, August 26  
•    Monday, August 29 
•    Tuesday, August 30 
•    Wednesday, August 31 
•    Thursday, September 1
•    Friday, September 2

There maybe two or three soundings of the siren each day.
