Gloria Gemma and Ocean State Job Lot donate 2,000 gloves to RI area shelters
GLORIA GEMMA AND OCEAN STATE JOB LOT PARTNER TO DONATE 2,000 GLOVES TO RI AREA SHELTERS
Pawtucket, RI - Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Foundation is partnering with Ocean State Job Lot to distribute over 2,200 gloves, donated by Ocean State Job Lot, to 6 shelters in the Providence, Pawtucket and Cranston areas over three days. The event will kick off on Monday, December 19th from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the McAuley House in Providence.
McAuley House, part of McAuley Ministries, is located at 622 Elmwood Avenue, Providence. They serve up over 70,000 meals per year to those in need. On December 19th from 11:30 a.m. -1:00 p.m. Gloria's Angels, a Gloria Gemma resource initiative, will serve lunch and distribute gloves to the people served by McAuley House. Ocean State Job Lot’s Executive Director of Ocean State Job Lot, David Sarlitto will also attend the kick-off event.
Gloria Angels Coordinator, Development Assistant and Survivor, Jane Iannetta states “We are grateful to be able to help people in our community with some of their biggest needs, food and clothing, through our partnership with Ocean State Job Lot.” Gloria’s Angels provides “TLE” (that little extra) to women affected by breast cancer, with comfort care bags for newly diagnosed patients, healthy meals for women in treatment, oncology massage for post treatment women and services specifically designed for metastatic patients.
David Sarlitto, states “Gloria Gemma and Ocean State Job Lot partnered together this past year as part of a wellness initiative, predominantly driven by the excitement of their employees, and has grown into a much larger scale Rhode Island partnership. Our customers and business partners have big hearts and are making a difference in their own backyard.”
