Providence Public Library 2017 Family Learning Sundays Continue through May
PROVIDENCE, RI – Providence Public Library’s monthly Family Learning Sundays will continue through May. Upcoming programs in 2017, to held at PPL – 150 Empire Street, Providence, from 2 – 3 pm on the first Sunday of each month, are as follows. These programs are designed for children 5 – 10 years old and their families. All workshops are free. For full information go to www.provlib.org. Sunday, March 5: Writing Workshop with Erin Hazlett
Good writing begins with a good story. Listen as we share the humorous and heartwarming tales from our own lives. Then learn to embellish and transform these stories so they feel like they are unfolding on the big screen. Erin studied Art and Education at Connecticut College before earning an MA in Education and an ELL certificate from Claremont Graduate University. Her career as an educator spans over 17 years and includes teaching in traditional public school, charter school, and private school settings.
Sunday, April 2: The Art of Origami with Rod Nice
The traditional Japanese art of paper folding, has evolved into a modern art form.
The goal is to transform a flat sheet of paper into a finished sculpture through folding and sculpting techniques. Join Rod as we create beautiful paper creations together.
