Statement From Mayor Elorza WRT Recently Reported Messages and Incidents of Anti-Semitism

I am deeply saddened by the hateful acts recently reported in the capital city which have targeted our Jewish community. I stand by those affected at RISD, the Jewish Community Center, and across the city and offer my full support during these trying times. As Mayor, I remain committed to ensuring that Providence is a welcoming and safe city for all, and I can assure you that we will not tolerate any anti-Semitic acts. Please know that help is available and that you can report hate crimes directly to the City’s Hate Crime Hotline by calling 1-877-3HCRIME (1-877-342-7463).
