No surgery for Red Sox Price
WEEI's Rob Bradford reports that Red Sox lefty pitcher David Price will not need surgery on his elbow or forerarm. Price will be out for 7-10 days for rest and treatment after getting a 2nd MRI and opinion from Dr. James Andrews in Indianapolis. Affter the 7-10 days, Price will be evaluated and there is no current timetable for his return to pitching. Price experienced soreness after Tuesday's simulated game. Red Sox manager John Farrell called it the "best case scenario."
