Pedroia MRI comes back clean; heads to DL

UPDATE (3pm): The Red Sox have put Dustin Pedroia on the 10-day disabled list and activated 3B Pablo Sandoval.

The news is good on Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia.  The MRI on his left wrist has come back clean according to manager John Farrell.  Pedroia, whose x-rays Monday were negative after hurting his wrist tumbling over White Sox first baseman Jose Abreu in the first inning, is scheduled to return to Chicago.

The team will then decide if Pedroia needs a trip to the 10-day disabled list or not.

The Red Sox take on the White Sox in game two of their three game series Tuesday night in Chicago.
