Governor Raimondo Meets Prime Minister Trudeau

Presented with 2017 BIO Governor of the Year Award

PROVIDENCE, RI - Governor Gina M. Raimondo Friday attended events as part of the National Governor's Association Summer Meeting in Rhode Island. After delivering the opening remarks at "States: The Intersection of Collaboration and Innovation," 

Governor Raimondo met with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Later, Prime Minister Trudeau delivered the keynote address at the event "Collaborating to Create Tomorrow's Global Economy."

This afternoon (Friday), Governor Raimondo was presented with the 2017 BIO Governor of the Year Award in recognition of her leadership and commitment to strengthening the bioscience industry within Rhode Island.
