Providence EMA to Host Free Touch-A-Truck Event for National Preparedness Month   

PROVIDENCE, RI – The Providence Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) will host a Touch-A-Truck event Saturday, September 9, 2017, from 9:00AM to 12:00PM. The free family event taking place during National Preparedness Month will be held at PEMA’s main office located at 591 Charles Street. 

Attendees will be able see, touch, and explore a police car, fire truck, SWAT vehicle, American Red Cross Response vehicle, RI Canine Search and Rescue Command trailer, and the PEMA Mobile Command Vehicle. The event will also feature demonstrations from the Rhode Island Canine Search and Rescue dogs and the Amateur Radio PEMA Races Team.
